Deliver Professional Development to teachers, coaches, and leaders on how to effectively implement i-Ready Diagnostic and Instruction Program and Ready Mathematics Program. Provide on-site targeted support to teachers designed to increase student performance and growth through data driven differentiated instruction. Greater Seattle Area

Own and operate a math tutoring business solely based on word of mouth referrals. I work with approximately 10 to 15 students once or twice per week. My work in the Seattle area has resulted in empowering renewed confidence for approximately 300 students and counting. The typical student comes to me performing below grade level often failing. The student is discouraged, frustrated, lacking in confidence, hates math and often school in general. The student is afraid to ask for help and is often resistant to being tutored. After 4-8 weeks of tutoring the typical student is showing improvement in grades and class participation, is building confidence in his/her ability to tackle math work while being engaged in learning, and asking for help. Creating these wins for students is accomplished through:• Analysis of the data provided by the student, parent, and teacher• Design and delivery of assessment tools specific to the student• Categorizing short term and long term goals• Tailoring plans to eliminate academic deficiencies • Customizing solutions to support emotional growth and confidence building• Formulating strategies to encourage participation• Planning ahead to anticipate struggles • Managing and accommodating change • Tracking upcoming lessons to predict and provide advanced instruction on new concepts• Collaborating with teachers and parents by communicating effectively via email and phone• Motivating and aligning with parents and students by reporting progress and reassessing needs.
