I began my career with the Goose Creek Police Department in 2014. Since starting with the agency, I have been a patrol officer, investigator, field training officer, patrol corporal, patrol sergeant, and was promoted to a patrol lieutenant. As the chapter closed with Goose Creek, I was afforded the opportunity to work for Summerville Police Department briefly before moving to Missouri, where I began with the Olivette Police Department. I briefly served as the Captain for the Pevely Police Department.I strived to continuously make my agencies a better place through training new officers and ensuring the best quality of service is provided to our community. I co-piloted the revision of the Goose Creek Police Department's field training manual which is utilized for every new hire. I have earned a reputation for my attention to detail in reports and high expectations for quality of work from the officers who work for me. I was selected as the Knights of Columbus officer of the year in 2015. I have worked on several major cases, specifically involving sexual assaults and crimes against children, several of these cases have resulted in successful prosecution of the defendants.I have certifications in Speed Measurement Device, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and DataMaster Testing, homicide and suicide investigations, patrol bicycle through LEBA, basic detective, field training officer, and crisis intervention training. I am certified as a crisis negotiator through the Federal Bureau of Investigations training and have responded to several call outs for negotiations with a person in crisis.I believe in bettering myself through education and I am currently completing my PhD through Nova Southeastern University in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in organizational leadership and management. I am currently all but dissertation, which I expect to be completed in the next several months. I completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in Criminal Justice through Charleston Southern University. I consistently aim to improve myself to make myself an asset to my department and benefit my future.
