I served as an independent marketing and PR consultant for Catholic Charities. As a member of the marketing team, I was responsible for writing press releases, web site copy, marketing brochures, internal and external newsletters, handling all media inquiries, managing cause-related marketing partnerships and maintaining all social media networking groups. Additionally, I managed a team of graphic designers and assist with projects such as annual report, direct mail pieces, ad campaigns and event planning. Catholic Charities is one of Arizona’s oldest and largest nonprofit organizations which offers a diverse range of social services that strengthen families, protect and nurture children, and support people in crisis. Catholic Charities serves people of all ages and faiths. Last year, the charitable organization provided over 50 programs at 100 locations to more than 200,000 people in central and northern Arizona.

• Responsible for corporate giving on behalf of the airline and all cause-related marketing efforts. • Handled all new market initiatives including public affairs events, speaking engagements and management of on-site media on event day. • Administered America West Airlines Education Foundation, including all annual fundraisers and development efforts, board communication, golf tournament and grant/scholarship programs. • Managed the Do Crew, the airline’s employee volunteer group. Responsible for communication in employee newsletters, web site and intranet content, developed new strategies to increase awareness and participation and coordinated all volunteer opportunities for chapters located in Phoenix, Reno and Las Vegas. • Developed relationships with over 300 nonprofit organizations in airline’s hub markets. • Managed signature programs such as Donate a Duffel, Puppies in Flight and Sweet Delights Take Flight.
