About Lindsey Schmidt

As a writer with a background in science, I have a passion for communicating complex scientific concepts to the general public. I've recently graduated from GVSU, where I obtained degrees in biochemistry and psychology. While I was there, I conducted an undergraduate research project in the chemical education discipline, worked as a Writing Consultant at the Fred Meijer Center for Writing and Michigan Authors, and wrote blog posts for the Organization for Professional Writers. The interviewing, analyzing, writing, and editing skills I gained from those experiences helped me kickstart a career in science writing. Currently, I work as a Technical Editor at ACS Publications.
