• Executed end-to-end experimentation and data analysis projects in close collaboration with business teams;• Utilized web scraping techniques to detect stocks with abnormal price movements in a real-time fashion, and built a multi-class text classification model with LSTM to identify the drivers of abnormal price movements from the retrieved Finance News articles;• Proposed a nearest neighbor matching algorithm to assign the users into test and control groups for the online experimentation, which eliminates the need of conducting manual A/A validation. Worked with data engineer team to implement and deploy it in our online experimentation platform. The online experiments show that the new approach reduces the A/A imbalance rate to one-third of the current practice;• Conducted mobile app user early life analysis for Yahoo Finance app to identify key drivers that turned new users to adoption users and designed UA campaign with business team based on our findings;• Analyzed Yahoo News app users’ content consumption data from both in-app user behavior data and onboarding self-declared data and segment users based on their content interests by using KMeans model;• Developed a predictive model for predicting the volume of the players of Yahoo Daily Fantasy contests and showed a significant improvement in terms of the prediction accuracy and total net revenue;• Mined two years’ mail purchase receipt data to quantify Front Page users’ affinity with various commerce product lines, and defined an algorithm to collect and publish hourly/daily deals to Front Page users.
