I aided in developing the standard operating procedure for a piece of equipment, the Sartorius Octet BLI platform, which acts as a fast, high throughput method of vector quantitation. To qualify this assay, I generated data by conducting the traditional vector quantitation method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. At the end of the internship, I designed and presented a poster to illustrate my research on the differences between the assay processes and the pathway to implementing the Octet. Additionally, I assisted in general lab tasks such as buffer preparation, UV spectrophotometry, and centrifugation.
