Reporting into the Head of Restaurants Finance and business partnering Innovations Operations Director and Head of Strategy for two innovative restaurant brands, delivering performance analysis on trading sites alongside strategy & proposition development for future sites.

I joined the Retail Finance team at M&S and was the Finance Business Partner for the Hospitality Operations team. Within this role I achieved a promotion in the company and the role evolved in its responsibility to also business partner the Hospitality Buyer’s team in the Food BU.Modelling new initiatives e.g. building target P&Ls and providing financials for business cases up to £15m and tracking performance when approved. Business partnering operational teams, delivering promotional analysis and recommendations. Involved in 3 yr strategy paper - projecting figures and outturn for future years, introduced store profitability and staffing bridges to drill down into the performance.

I successfully transitioned this role from the International BU into the Group Central Finance team. I developed it into a role suitable for a single person to efficiently complete through process improvement and elimination of non-value add tasks. Following the successful move of the role into Group Finance I then proceeded to transition it to our Business Support Center in Manchester. I owned this handover and managed deadlines to ensure it was completed efficiently and effectively. Weekly trading reports for senior management, month end duties, balance sheet recs, management packs.
