The New York Education Policy Leadership Program (EPLP) is a unique, yearlong professional development experience open to school administrators, board of education members, leaders of education organizations, and Fordham Graduate School of Education students with an interest in education policy and related issues. The program explores timely education policy and leadership issues at the macro, strategic level through immersive experiences and virtual, interactive sessions. The core of the program is monthly half-day virtual policy seminars. These sessions include seminar-style lecture/discussion with prominent professors and guest speakers working in the education policy and leadership arena. Fellows also participate in two in-person, multi-day trips: Regional Leadership Forum at the Gettysburg Battlefield and Army War College in Carlisle, PA; Washington DC Policy Seminar that includes sessions with education think-tank experts and influencers of education policy representing a broad range of perspectives.
