My professional experience over the past 10 years has been focused on early childhood education in diverse professional settings. With a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on early childhood education and professional service in both the private and public education settings, I use my background to develop and then evaluate programs and curriculums in our early childhood classrooms. One example is developing nature-based education and STEAM lessons at Montana’s first 2x awarded Green Flag Award Eco school, Clark Fork School. My approach to STEAM and nature-based education is simple, effective, cost-effective, and easily replicable. My most recent career achievement has been piloting Missoula County Public Schools first Early Childhood Education program. By working with my multi-disciplinary team, we have created a highly effective early education model with incredible feedback, all from the ground up. I enjoy working with my children and staff in my current role and I am driven to share my experience and help other teachers and children to succeed.
