This position requires many different roles. Data entry and recordkeeping is a very large part of what I do. I also compile that data organize it and file it while implementing and improving those organizational systems. Not only do I maintain relationships with all of our clients and diffuse situations, I also facilitate communication between different departments. Ensuring that everything runs smoothly and all of our customers are happy and all of our employees understand what they should be doing. I draft and edit all contracts,emails, reports and other office documents. I handle and manage all incoming and out communication and correspondence. Because I also handle all the outstanding balances, I was able to implement a new system that included collection letters. So far this system has helped me, since January, recuperate $33,676.66 as of today, May 28th 2024, for my company.

This legal degree program, which provides a paralegal degree (AAS)upon its successful completion, provided me with an arsenal of tools and resources that will forever aide me in any legal situation. it is an ABA accredited program that provides a comprehensive deep dive into the subject of law. Not only was I provided with factual information, but I also became versed in ethical conduct and different ethical theories. The program covers everything, even law office practices and procedures. All of my professors are either lawyers or judges (people working in the legal field) who teach relevant knowledge and skills that are necessary in order to perform as an effective paralegal. I was expected to complete very detailed assignments using legal databases such as LexisNexis in order to properly draft pleadings, complaints, memos, correspondence, and other legal documents. Citation is the other large part of legal writing, and it must be perfect, especially the citation of case law sources. This program teaches using the ALWD for legal writing and citation reference. The business AA only requires a few extra classes, yet, it offers so much information.

As a manager, I played many roles, it is a managers duty to jump in where they are needed. Being a bartender and a shift manager, I had to stay well educated on the different legalities and duties of an alcohol serving institution. One of my most important duties was to take inventory, order needed items, balance and count the cash drawers, and balance and z out the cash drawers before my staff left. Training and supervising was also a large part of my role, which helped me cultivate great interpersonal and teamwork skills.

This was a well known neighborhood deli, and where I learned how to de-escalate or mitigate customer issues. It was a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, I was expected to properly prepare customer orders in a timely fashion. I was also expected to prepare large catering orders, and to work any issues out with the customer.
