•Project Controls Engineer for the PMO, responsible for Programme Reporting against major projects in a UK/French Joint Venture• Meticulously monitoring costs through regular finance reviews with the Project Controls Managers, challenging submitted forecasts and actual spend on a monthly basis, ensuring alignment of cost with schedule• Working closely with French counterparts and project management to overcome the significant cultural differences and methodologies with an international JV, resulting in a deeper understanding of the issues and priorities and how to re-shape processes to deliver for both the programme and the respective partners' businesses• Building and maintaining open and honest relationships with project members to ensure the most accurate forecasts and early sight of any issues• Diligently maintaining the Business Oracle system for all projects with planned/approved budgets, forecasts and actuals against their agreed Cost Breakdown Structure• Playing a key role on the Joint Programme Finance, Commercial and Controls Committee as the focal point for all Programme Cost reviews and meetings for the UK team• Briefing the Leadership of the Joint Programme Office, headed by the respective UK and France Programme Managers, on the progress of the International Programme

• Successfully working as the Cost Engineer for Operations and Enabling Projects, monitoring and controlling the day to day finances of the projects• Working closely with Control Account managers to construct accurate forecasts as well as analysis and reporting on actuals, investigating and narrating material variances • Responsible for all budget management and finance including compiling and analysis of cost information, providing advice on current position and cost plans, accruals and all formal reporting• Adapting communication to translate complex accounting and financial concepts to enable accurate forecasts and financial/risk based decision making• Liaising with project management, suppliers and accounts payable on queries with invoices and orders placed

• Led a team of 3 document controllers, ensuring an even distribution and prioritisation of work, and providing opportunities for development• Developed and maintained the document management system for the project, in accordance with the directorate's procedures• Audited project compliance with Document Control and Configuration Procedures, against ISO 9001 standards, and recommended more effective working practices• Collated all baseline drawings at the outset of the project and managed their configuration throughout the project lifecycle

• Successfully managed a document controller and project administrator, allocating work based on talent and capacity, to develop and maintain a document management system for a £300m D&B project• Updated project procedures, ensuring compliance from contractors• Performed general junior-level auditing of contractor procedures • Produced reports of findings and highlighted any issues to the design and QA departments

• Compiled commercial month-end reports and dealt with sub contract queries, producing the applications for payments and updating plant schedules• Controlled and maintained PPE/office expenditure/mobile phone usage budgets• Involved in developing, managing and configuration control of the document and correspondence databases• Managing all access to the secure server as Systems Administrator• Nominated as the spokesperson for the region on the Secretarial Forum representing the South East highlighting and issues or opportunities to the TW Executive board
