Responsible for the direction, planning, development, promotion and management of the Connecticut General Assembly Legislative Internship Program. Along with full program operation, my roll requires guidance of the Committee on Legislative Internships in all policy and procedural matters, along with statewide marketing, coalition building and maintaining.

Plan, direct and coordinate all administrative, constituent and legislative functions necessary for successfully fulfilling all public obligations of assigned State Representatives (5 on average). This highly responsible, frontline position requires strong communication skills, a keen understanding of organizational policy and processes, the ability to.

Managed the onboarding and oversight of the caucus’s sessional resources of approximately 22 Committee and House Chamber employees and 20 CGA program and independent interns. Responsibilities included selection and onboarding, training coordination and facilitation, application of HR employment policies and processes, evaluation and performance.

Chosen as the first caucus Internship Coordinator based on my input and assistance to the Co-Chairman of the Legislative Internship Committee in the evaluation, reorganization (including the hiring of a new Director) and re-launch of the CGA Internship Program. Created original, office specific intern programming designed to promote interest in political.

Participated in and oversaw numerous projects including the hiring of a new Town Manager, purchase of open space in conjunction with the CT DEP Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program, Town Charter Revision, as well as completion of a Town Hall ADA renovation project and Senior Center.
