I was born and raised (and can be seen running around) in metro Indianapolis and reside in the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood.I have more than 10 years of experience in print and digital publication and marketing design with the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS), a multi-billion dollar public pension system. I have five years of experience in web design and strategy as a freelancer and with INPRS. I also developed a social media brand for INPRS via Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and here on LinkedIn (see details below under Projects).I work with a fabulous team of fun, talented and dedicated people and have a pretty sweet cubicle. (I like to think of it as more of a "micro-office.")My future goals are to further develop my photographic and interactive UX design skills. I'm currently working on my UX design certification.Outside INPRS, I devote time to local grassroots arts organizations and do freelance work primarily for Microbe TV, a non-profit organization based in New York that creates podcasts and videos, and presents at conferences around the world to discuss biological sciences in a way that makes them relevant and approachable to non-scientists, in other words “Science Shows for Everyone.” I handle UX and UI for their websites and create one/off digital graphics for their videos, social media, and websites.I return to my fine arts roots whenever I get a chance and enjoy painting and collage/mixed media work.Specialties: website maintenance and UX/UI design strategy, project leadership, UX design, publication design, branding and corporate identity, promotional design, social media strategy, digital photography, business and creative writing, and proofreading.Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: INFJ-A.
