I believe Sydney is one of the best, if not the best, city to live in. Sadly, not all women in Sydney feel equal, valued and safe. I know we can do better collectively. As the Head of Sydney Women’s Fund, I’m passionate about ensuring women and their families not only survive but thrive, and am driven to bring together like-minded generous people who want to create a better Sydney for women and their families. I’m also currently the immediate past president of International Women’s Forum Australia, an invitation-only network of the most accomplished women in the world, we connect women leaders across every professional sector in support of each other and the common mission of advancing women’s leadership and championing equality worldwide. I have also served on the Boards of Daystar Foundation and ShareGift Australia.My experience in the for-purpose sector also includes two CEO roles. As the CEO of Good2Give, I led the organisation through a digital transformation via the development of market leading technology platforms and partnerships, resulting in charitable donations growing from $5 million to $30 million annually. As the CEO of the St.George, Bank of Melbourne and Bank SA Foundations, I was driven by my desire to build a more giving society, and in particular to help children and young people.My corporate leadership roles were with 3M, Optus and Aussie Home Loans; and I ran my own successful business consulting firm. With a mix of work and life experiences, I’m now clearly focused on the role individuals and businesses can play in making charitable giving a part of everyday life, as well as empowering and connecting women with purpose to lead a better world for us all to work, live and play in.
