I provided a variety of tasks for the company President and his team of engineers. I prepared proposals, copied blueprints, communicated with vendors regarding the company’s job bidding process. I used QuickBooks daily, entering time sheets, employee expense reports, updating client and job database and generating multiple reports, supporting the team. I organized and streamlined filing system, archiving completed jobs and easing locating and referencing current information.

I was hired for one semester to replace a teacher who resigned mid-year. I taught science in English to French-speaking students in first grade through ninth grade strengthening their written and verbal English skills. Some of the topics covered were those associated with regards to Earth Science, Physical Science, Beginning Physics and Technology.

I taught all subjects, ages, and abilities. In addition to teaching, I supported the school’s administration staff by serving in other positions throughout the school, wherever I was needed, responding at a moment’s notice. During this time I also served as a JV/Varsity Cheerleading Coach interacting with students outside of the classroom, gaining a broader picture of who they are, how they think, their interests and abilities, while building their confidence.

As the middle school math teacher, I initiated a last-period study hall across the middle school team. This allowed students an opportunity to ask teachers for help prior to end of the school day; this change was ultimately adopted within the high school. I served as a middle school Cheerleading Coach encouraging students to get involved in school activities. I participated on various committees, including Math Curriculum, working with publishing companies in order to choose interesting, interactive textbooks.
