I am an experienced events, marketing and communications professional with over a decade of experience working for organisations that are changing the world for the better. My expertise includes events strategy, project management, marketing and communications, including running a range of events to help stakeholders achieve their goals. I have a Bachelor’s degree as well as a Master’s degree in International Communication and a project management certification; Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). I’m known as a motivated professional that’s great at building and maintaining relationships, achieving targets and meeting deadlines with quality outcomes.I am currently the Marketing and Engagement Manager at the Translational Research Institute (TRI), one of the largest medical research institutes in the southern hemispheres and an Australian-first initiative of ‘bench to bedside’ medical research. I manage TRI’s marketing and internal communications. I also oversee the delivery of a large and wide-ranging program of events where we bring together researchers, clinicians and the MedTech industry to accelerate the development of new medicines.Prior, as Events Manager and Communications Adviser at Payments NZ, I developed and delivered the company events and sponsorship strategy. I project managed all company events, help wrote marketing and company communications and maintained social media channels. Before that, as Events Marketing Manager for the New Zealand Green Building Council, I was in charge of organising and marketing all company events to help make all homes and buildings sustainable for happier, healthier New Zealanders. Prior to that, I worked on building the brand of the well-known Ceres Organics, the premier certified distributor of organic food across the Asia Pacific Region as Brand Assistant. I’m an advocate for sustainability, the environment and ethics in organisations and have a book and papers published on integrating ethics into an organisation’s culture.And when I’m not at my desk, I’ll be in a wetsuit. I love the ocean and am a passionate open water diver who enjoys the animals, beautiful views and exotic plants. My dream is to one day see a whale (any!) up close in the wild.
