Offshore Grouting Operations supervisor overseeing complete grouting operations, Equipment maintenance, Repairs, Cement transfers and QC testing as well as mobilization and de-mobilization of all offshore equipment at the start and end of projects. Insure all relevant documents are completed within clients specified timeframe including Daily Progress Reports (DPR’s), Technical Grout Reports (TGR’s), weekly timesheets and Keeping batch tracker up to date for QC traceability with cement totals onboard ensuring correct contingency before starting operations on next location. Working as a freelance offshore mechanical technician for Foundocean a leading offshore grouting company in both renewable and oil and gas sectors. I have been involved on various projects worldwide. Responsible for the maintenance and weekly servicing of a fleet of custom offshore grout mixers, pumps, bulk silos and hose reel winches. Maintaining various Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems to ensure optimum performance and reliability of all the plant offshore. Operated the grout pump during grouting operations whilst keeping in radio contact with dive control and ROV command centre’s.As well as working offshore I also worked onshore in the Foundocean Service base in Livingston maintaining and fabricating new machinery to a high standard for the offshore environments needs and specifications.Worked on various offshore projects which include: Beatrice, Borkum Riffgrund, East Anglia 1, Turkstream pipeline, HoHe see, Albetros and Gupco.

Working as mobile support team leader providing mechanical support for the British Army’s fleet of vehicles at various locations throughout the UK. Working away from home for various trip lengths ranging from 1 week to 4 months. Repairing, servicing and inspecting/certifying all types of military vehicles and equipment. Experienced with MAN, CAT, Perkins, Cummings, Eagle, Land Rover and Volkswagen diesel engines. Experienced with working on the maintenance of various hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in military vehicles, cranes and recovery winches carrying out fault finding diagnosis and repairs to ensure optimum performance and operation of the machinery when in the field.

Camp Bastion, Afghanistan

Deployed for a 9 month tour consisting of three 10 week trips with 2 weeks R&R in between trips as part of the regeneration program doing base overhauls on the protected mobility vehicles, MAN EPLS Cargo Truck and Yamaha Quadbikes. Leading a 10 man team planning and organizing workshop activity to meet critical deadlines and target dates. Ensuring all work carried out within the team was carried out safely and to the highest standards required for operational conditions.Working and living in Army conditions within Camp Bastion where I was awarded both an operational service and a NATO medal for my work during deployment.

Served my time as an apprentice mechanic at ABRO Stirling working towards gaining my SQ3 Level 3 as a time served HGV mechanic. Worked on all types of military vehicles, HIAB cranes and recovery winches. Carrying out servicing, fault diagnosis and repairs. Gained experience over the years to become a fully qualified 932/933 Inspector responsible for inspecting and certifying all classes of military vehicles and equipment from quad bikes up to a MAN SVR Recovery vehicle.
