Participated in the formation and vision of this new Global People Data Science Team. Onboarded Google Cloud Platform and integrated with an internal R and Python based data science platform to facilitate text mining on social media data to determine associate sentiment. Performed data analysis using SQL database extracts for weekly Covid-19 Transmission Rate reporting to determine return to work dates and support masking policies. Developed a Healthcare Pilot Program Measurement Strategy involving 8 different external vendors, and performed business analysis to determine program outcomes and opportunities.

Onboarded an India based team and became Total Rewards Analytics and Insights. Implemented an Azure Databricks environment for role and market based compensation analytics. Contracted and led the implementation of Payfactors for compensation design and market survey support. Automated daily Covid-19 leave reporting and weekly Covid-19 vaccine reporting. Managed 20 Compensation Market Survey Vendors from contracting and payment to survey submissions.

Merged with Compensation Analytics to become Total Rewards Intelligence and Optimization. Expanded the scope of the Microstrategy Business Intelligence platform to include compensation data to form Total Rewards views. Leveraged Alteryx and Tableau for data prep, data mining, analytics, and visualization. Participated in establishing an enterprise standard for company store/department segmentation and alignment. Participated on a HR Data Governance committee to establish standard methods for calculating HR metrics across the enterprise.

Managed data strategy, process improvement, project management and analytics efforts for the Walmart Associates’ Health and Welfare Plan. Selected and implemented a new health claims data warehouse. Outsourced software development to support mid year health plan transfers. Established an annual population health risk analysis for contract negotiations. Worked with internal and external audit to meet ERISA Health Plan compliance requirements. Used IBM/DB2, Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, and Informix databases to run SQL queries designed to extract weekly and ad-hoc data for business analysis. Developed a Perl-based query automation system to run data extracts overnight. Led the implementation of and migration to Microstrategy as a cloud-based business intelligence platform for data mining, analytics and visualization. Responsible for contracting, security review, and vendor relations. Responsible for two technical professionals.

Member of the CIOs Leadership team. Directed IT resource planning, budgeting and operational efforts for systems integration, business process improvement and enterprise application infrastructure. Responsibilities included 5 direct reports and 10 technical staff in application development and middleware support services, influence of over 60 departmental staff and oversight for highly available webMethods integration, Java J2EE and web server environments. Regularly directed projects with cross-functional teams of 10 to 15 staff plus vendors. Leveraged Confluence pages, Wikis, and GitHub repositories. Provided leadership for a major warehouse management system replacement project, and responsible for enterprise reporting across the supply chain. Integrated systems with an IBM AS/400 based warehouse management system using Oracle Databases, SQL, and custom visual basic applications to provide user query and reporting services. Designed and implemented an application to measure and score associate performance against engineered labor standards. Designed Global Supply Chain Visibility system using the Microstrategy Business Intelligence Platform. Responsibilities included 5 technical professionals, budgeting, and collaboration with all levels of management and staff in Traffic, Finance, Inventory, Operations, Shipping, Receiving and Engineering.
