As a member of DLA Piper's Global Investigations Team I assist clients with internal and government-facing investigations into a range of issues including fraud, bribery, money-laundering, and workplace misconduct. I also advise on the design and implementation of ethics and compliance policies and procedures.

The Africa Integrity Indicators (AII) is a research project led by Global Integrity in collaboration with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. AII examines how policies are implemented to support African governments, citizens, and civil society and assessing key social, economic, political, and anti-corruption mechanisms at the national level across all 54 countries of the African continent. I conducted the 2020 and 2021 AII country-level review of Ghana, leveraging my legal and policy expertise at the country-level.

International Lawyers Project supports civil society, parliaments and communities in the global south addressing economic justice (anti-corruption and tax justice), access to information, and environmental justice challenges through strategic pro bono legal assistance. As an Advisor on Public Interest Litigation I deliver pro bono support to ILP's clients to develop strategies that leverage litigation and other dispute resolution and advocacy mechanisms to seek accountability from governments and companies.

Selected Disputes and Investigations Experience- Drafted two claimants' witness statements in relation to a GBP 10 million ICC arbitration between two global telecommunications companies.- Advised a Saudi family-owned company on its legal and commercial options for termination of an introductory services agreement. - Conducted tier 2 reviews of 30,000 documents, and supervised tier 1 reviewers in an internal bribery and corruption investigation into the Eastern European operations of a US-headquartered pharmaceutical company.- Co-authored the investigatory report summarising the findings of the above investigation, which recommended that the client updates its anti-bribery training for employees.- Conducted a tier 2 review of documents for three internal investigations into allegedly corrupt activity in the North African operations of a US-headquartered, global pharmaceutical company. Updated the interim report and work plan submitted to the client and provided oral updates to the client during subsequent conference calls.- Drafted a note of advice on statutory Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Dubai Financial Services Authority notification obligations of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC)-registered subsidiary of a UK-listed bank in relation to an ongoing sexual assault investigation.- Drafted a project plan, initial due diligence questionnaire and document request list for the Iran sanctions compliance review of an EU-headquartered nutrition company with US and Iranian subsidiaries.- Produced the first draft of the Modern Slavery Act 2015-compliant statement of a global online food delivery company.- Coordinated and reviewed the advice of Ghanaian, Nigerian, Senegalese and Gabonese local counsel to produce a report on local content and human rights laws in the West African oil and gas industry for a global oilfield services company.

Assisting the Senior Director, Compliance of Etisalat UAE with the design and implementation of: anti-bribery and anti-corruption, sanctions, money laundering, telecoms regulatory, and other policies, processes and controls.

Contributed to World Bank commissioned budget-tracking report on the effectiveness of Ghana's budget systems in the Education, Sanitation and Roads and Transport sectors ( 2010-2012) Participated in high-level consultative meetings between IMANI's President and political staff of foreign embassies , heads government agencies and NGO's.Co-authored IMANI’s analysis of Ghana’s 2013 supplementary budget.Co-authored “IMANI’s 2013 Internet-Presence Rankings of Government Institutions” with IMANI’s Director of Communications

Conducted extensive background research on the grant-making cycles, application procedures, current requests for proposals, and grant-making history of 25 large private foundations to inform ALN’s grant application process.Provided on-demand assistance with priority identification, issue crafting and other aspects of grant proposal preparation.

Researched CSR reporting in the maritime industry to inform amendments of the Ghana Maritime Authority Bill.Designed and executed procurement process and negotiated a feasibility study for cold store infrastructure project. Negotiated for a discount on the construction costs of the vegetable cold store project.Designed health outreach plan and negotiated corporate sponsorship package resulting in a 50% discount on pharmaceutical products.

African Leadership Network (ALN) is a network for people who are passionate about developing 3 million leaders for Africa by 2060. Managed strategic external communications between the network and stakeholders including African Studies professors, and business executives resulting in leads to 100 potential members in the United StatesIdentified 100 corporate and non-profit leaders as potential members of the network through internet based research, cold calling and e-mail references.
