The Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program makes it easier for Californians to drive less by making sure housing, jobs, and key destinations are accessible by walking, biking, and transit. AHSC provides funding that supports infill affordable housing development as well as sustainable transportation infrastructure.- Supported and improved AHSC Round 6 application review process by reviewing three key scoring sections, providing support on all other sections (including some from partner agencies), and creating new tracking systems for initial and final scores. - Managed $1.4M AHSC Technical Assistance contract by overseeing budgeting, invoicing, and workplan review for capacity building and direct technical assistance.- Facilitated internal and external outreach preceding guidelines updates, ensuring inclusive stakeholder engagement by coordinating listening sessions and small group follow ups.- Contributed to guideline changes by crafting language and developing new streamlined material.- Served as Communications Liaison for AHSC, by remediating all documents for ADA compliance, drafting newsletter posts, leading website update requests, and presenting on AHSC and other SGC programs at external events.- Participated in various working groups and review committees.

The Executive Fellowship Program is a 10-month experiential education program that uniquely integrates high-level government work experience with academic and professional development. Executive Fellows are placed with a mentor in one of the many executive offices of California’s Executive Branch and function as full-time professional staff in these offices.- Developed the charter for the Government Excellence and Transformation (G.E.T.) Center, which outlines its mission and guides its process for undertaking projects.- Managed three projects under the G.E.T. Center, coordinating with external and department partners and establishing project roles and timelines.- Drafted an executive report on the Request for Innovative Ideas (RFI2) procurement method by conducting extensive research and interviews with state officials within and outside of California, - Assisted in planning and executing of telework working group and statewide training initiatives.

The Graduate Policy and Administration Community (GPAC) represents over 500 Master of Public Administration, Master of Public Policy, and Master of Nonprofit Leadership and Management students at the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy.As Executive Officer, I oversaw the administrative functions of the organization and all GPAC-related communication, internal and external. This included our bi-weekly newsletter, facebook page, Instagram, and website. I also created flyers for events when needed.

As head research assistant of the Behavioral and Experimental Economics (BEE) Lab, I oversaw the data collection and entry process of our various field experiments. - Oversaw a team of 5 to 8 research assistants, as well as the data collection and entry process of various economic field experiments under Dr. Anya Samek.- Conducted household visits at public housing communities in South LA, interviewing households about health and related issues in both Spanish and English.

I was one of 10 inaugural fellows for the Price Public Private Partnership (P3) fellowship.- Develop certification guidelines and outline core components for Census Champion Program in the Inland Empire Region.- Supported Regional Program Managers (RPMs) in planning and coordinating Implementation Plan Workshops.- Represented the organization at public outreach events in the Greater Los Angeles area, engaging Community members in both Spanish and English.- Provided feedback to RPMs on Strategic Plans from Counties, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), and statewide organizations.

Hermanas Unidas de USC (HaU) is an organization on campus that aims to provide support to Latinx women on campus. In addition to having weekly general body meetings, we have monthly events centered on each of our three pillars -- Community Service, Academic, and Social. For the 2018-2019 school year, I was Co-chair (co-president) for HaU. In this role, I provided direction and guidance on event programming as well as facilitated General Body and our 14 person Steering Committee meetings. Increasing membership was a large focus for the school year, and we were able to meet our goal by almost doubled our membership.Previous to that: As Secretary, I kept the executive board updated and general body updated through newsletters. As Campus Liaison, I served as the liaison between HaU, USC, and the surrounding community.

As a district office intern at Council President Herb Wesson’s office, I regularlyhelped resolve constituents' issues, whether it was by directing them to the correct citydepartment or by helping them get the process started for larger projects before briefing theappropriate deputy. I also volunteered for many office events, including: movies in the park, turkey giveaway,and bike giveaway.

I collaborated with other CASE interns to develop an advancement program schedule at the University of Detroit Mercy, while participating in weekly CASE workshops to learn about marketing, fundraising, and networking. At USC I developed a data tracking system to efficiently create and maintain a record of naming plaques on campus.

I created a report with two other fellows that analyzed the relationship between economic mobility and workforce equity, self-employment, and displacement in LA. Additionally, we finalized a report based on LURN's Planning and Land-Use Strategies Summit (PLUS2). We each provided a detailed background on the issues presented by the guest speakers and a clear explanation of the recommendations as well.

I assisted constituents with access to City departments and services to help resolve any issues or questions. I also worked on various ongoing projects, such as creating custom maps and creating one-page information sheets

I implemented a college advising program for EdBoost at The College Corner at the Children’s Collect, a nonprofit in South Los Angeles. For the program I organized workshops for under-resourced high school students on the college application process (e.g. essay and college discovery workshops). In addition to leading these workshops, I helped prepare the materials for them. Additionally, I tutored 1st-12th grade students in math and writing, as well as test prep.
