Responsible for major newspaper advertising accounts, generating new revenue. Overall increases averaged 30%. Clients included C.S. Wo &Sons, Longs Drugs, Radio Shack, Firestone, Good Year, Checkers Auto Supply, Sears, Shirokiya, Lowes.

Assumed this position when ownership of MidWeek changed to include the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. Successfully integrated revenue from advertising agencies, movie studios and malls primarily while working within a new company structure. Single-handedly landed and executed the Honolulu market's public screening of the movie "Pearl Harbor".

Increased advertising agency sales by 45% at MidWeek. When merged with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, immediately sold ads to movie studios, all major malls and other new business.

Achieved 120% increase in business, primarily from the movie industry and advertising agencies and by stabilizing and developing the retail and classified sales teams. Served as acting publisher. Recruited to MidWeek

Worked with our rep firm and traveled to see major clients for The Everett Herald. Co-Launched the Herald Business Journal and sold all advertising until a salesperson was hired. Sold ads and oversaw distribution of the Everett Navy Dispatch. Motivated the sales team to sell these products and to utilize co-op advertising opportunities.

Sold new major account business for three bi-weekly community newspapers, a subsidiary of The Seattle Times. In a geographic area situated between two major markets, Seattle and Tacoma, successfully gained revenue from Fred Meyer, Home Depot, WalMart, Safeway, Good Guys and more.. Recruited to Everett Herald.

Achieved 112% sales increase by actively selling and managing two sales teams. Recruited to the Community News Group.

Brought in new business from OR and BC travel, automotive, movie studios, book publishers, and major retail accounts, achieving more than $2million in total new business during tenure. Recruited to PNW and Seattle magazines.
