Responsible for the direction and delivery of the civil and structural scope on time, to their required safety, quality and budget. I led an international team of 12 engineers and designers of various brown and greenfield medium sized projects in FEL-3 and Detail Design phases and reported directly to the Project Manager. I was responsible for directing all design and engineering activities, scope change management control, the MTOs and Contractor's Scope of Work. I was in close interaction with construction, managed the interface with other disciplines and was in charge for the relationship with the client. Main tasks included:• Ultimate responsible for all design and engineering activities, ensuring quality throughout all deliverables • Project forecast & workhours control. Planning, monitoring and reporting the expenditure of workhours.• Provide technical leadership and guidance to all designers and engineers and ensure production of drawings, 3D modeling and civil and calculations reports• Participation in Scrums, Progress Meetings, Interactive Planning Sessions, Model and Constructability Reviews, Gate Reviews, PDRI, IPA• Preparation and coordination of the Global Integrated Delivery (work-share) with our low cost execution center in India – including long stays in Mumbai.

Responsible for conducting flawless design calculations using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods of civil and structural engineering for both FEL1-3 and Detail Engineering projects in either greenfield and brownfield Oil & Gas industrial facilities. My role included acquaintance, knowledge and application of design and safety standards, building codes and client norms as well as the employment of calculation spreadsheets, FEM and CAD software packages to produce sound technical reports. • Design of RC and steel structures, buildings and foundations and assessment of existing civil and structural elements.• Proficiency in the preparation of technical reports and in the use of FEM software packages and techniques (Staad Pro, Robot and SAP2000) and other design tools like AutoCAD and NavisWorks. • Static and dynamic analysis to resist earthquake loads to Eurocodes (modal responses spectrum analysis).• Development of calculation reports, construction details and supervision and acceptance of drawings and 3Dmodels.• Broad knowledge in Eurocodes and other international Design Standards.

• Responsible to design and assess RC and steel structures (i.e. process tanks, service support buildings, walkways,...) • Design the foundations of the tanks including their complete buoyancy assessment for high water table levels.• Site development of the plants (i.e. access roads, drainage system), and transport and constructability plans.• Creating FEM computer models, spreadsheets and calculation reports • To prepare plans and technical specifications, developing of MTO’s, contract documents and estimates. • Solving a variety of complex problems (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements), consulting with supervisor on unusual problems and developments. • Participate in project activity on site. Assisted the construction manager undertaking tasks such as overseeing building work, checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly and material receipt acceptance.
