Current focus is on USAID-funded projects in the Colombian and Honduran electricity sectors.Organizing in country trainings on a wide variety of projects in emerging renewable energy frameworks (hydrogen, offshore wind, Pv and BESS) including necessary legal, technical and regulatory frameworks to integrate these energies into the grid.

Working as a consultant, my deliverables defined, marketed and implemented a curriculum for municipal leaders on the climate, environmental and energy policy, sustainable development indicators and build capacity towards sustainable development projects and governance. The project consisted of two phases: 1. Develop and dissemination of a survey of Latin American municipal leaders (5000+) to collect primary data on the current knowledge and interest of energy access, climate finance, climate, social development, energy/renewables, and sustainable governance in civic leadership across Latin America. Deployed a marketing campaign to raise awareness of the upcoming programs and outline the need for sustainable knowledge and choices in government, companies and communities. 2. Development and implementation of the pilot education course of climate and sustainable development. Established a sustainability framework for municipal leaders in Panama. Provide technical expertise to project teams and government leaders across the Panamanian government system to implement local and sector-specific policies and mainstream climate change and environmental development strategy. Developing the curriculum focused on capacity building within planning for climate and environmental considerations, ESG fundamentals, development pathways and COVID-19 resilience. The project is now in the implementation phase with the Brundtland School of Governance (https://brundtland.school/) where online courses aim to create localized ownership of sustainable governance and sustainable development projects across Latin America.

A small business I started a company to wowrk with low-income households to reduce energy usage through energy efficiency improvements with additional benefits to improve the health and safety of beneficiaries. Working within our energy management software, we calculated the impact of energy saving measures and implemented the most energy positive and cost effective measures. These measures included replacing outdated appliances, installing new lighting, and replacing ineffective insulation. On a regional level, we quantified our GHG impacts and ensured a net positive effect on the environment. In my role, I focused on building our relationship with funding sources and Spanish speaking community members while driving the mission to alleviate poverty by employing local residents and improving human health.

As part of the senior marketing and branding team, I worked towards the creation of AVEVA’s global sustainability marketing campaign. My priorities consisted of assisting in market analysis and research projects on the current global business sustainability topics, evolving energy portfolios, conducting SWOT analysis on current USA and EU environmental policies, and exploring where opportunities for digital transformation exist in the energy production industry. My research and identification of environmental and social risks guided direct action by senior leadership in strategic planning, company-wide marketing deployment, and internal sustainability programs. Additional areas of research included climate and energy policy impacts on AVEVA software, climate reporting standards of TCFD and CDP, ISO14001 standards, and evaluation of competitor sustainability positioning. Our team produced several internal reports and presentations on the impact of environmental and social movements, where AVEVA could quickly implement internal sustainable programs. I authored several blogs (https://www.aveva.com/en/perspectives/blog/) and fact sheets as well as proof-read international press releases for AVEVA’s Sustainability campaign.

The Climate Leaders Program for Professional Students at Harvard provided a small cohort with a hands-on opportunity to engage with policy leaders, professionals, and global leaders in our shared climate-related work. This program directly contributed to my research focus during my master's program and built a network of climate leaders at Harvard.

Under the Chief Program Officer, I worked with program directors to eliminate institutional barriers for our clients through engagement with Spanish speaking community members, and extensive review of each program's overall efficiency and bilingual outreach. I worked extensively with the Utility and Energy Director regarding the US Department of Energy programmatic spending, project management and emerging energy policy. Key results include: - Establishing, conducting, and evaluating federal Community Needs Assessments - Coordinating with the Community of Practice on Energy and Anti-poverty- Analyzing program and demographic data to identify and address gaps in program utilization - Creating a CRM database for funder specific clients and project management.- Leading outreach and community activities to raise awareness regarding Energy programs

As a direct report of the Chief Program Officer, I served as her project lead and carried out her vision for LEO's community engagement and volunteer programs. Elected team president for the 2015 to 2016 season. Served on the University of Minnesota Men’s Crew Board of Directors responsible for team travel-related functions (registration, lodging negotiations and contracting, charter bus and van rental services plus logistics, and team activities). Responsible for ensuring all team travel and regatta related activities are conducted within the University, State, and Federal laws.

Penske's sales and operations management trainees work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and are challenged to provide the best customer experience. By working directly with consumer and commercial rental customers the main focus of my assignment was on the customer and achieving their goals. While these roles are traditionally reserved for recent university graduates, I was selected to the management fast track leadership program and have continued to work for Penske (in Minneapolis) on a part time basis during the academic school year. This role also provided leadership opportunities while I served as a Central Indiana location manager, fully responsible for opening and closing, daily site operations, and new hire operations and sales training.
