About Lori Arthur
I'm a jack of all aspects of the instructional design trade: instructional designer, programmer, and trainer all in one. I enjoy the creativity of the process of translating what a client wants into what a learn needs and the satisfaction of following that process from design to evaluation. I spent several years working as a department of one, so I'm comfortable handling all aspects of training projects while also managing day-to-day operations. Now that our training department has grown, I've taken on a supervisory role, although I still enjoy working collaboratively with clients, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other team members to bring a project to life.I'm passionate about providing excellent customer service and going the extra mile to find answers and solutions. I often get phone calls and emails from people that start with "I know this isn't your area, but I know you'll know how to help me." Providing support and troubleshooting issues has greatly improved my skills as an instructional designer as I've learned to anticipate what learners will need assistance with and incorporate it into the design.
