MorningStar Health is an integrated disability & absence management and employee assistance program provider. MorningStar Health helps companies achieve substantial cost savings through innovative administrative and medical integration of short-term disability, family and medical leave act (FMLA), workers' compensation and employee assistance programs (EAP). Responsibilities included Account Management for specific client base, involvement in implementation and on boarding of new clients, team lead and mentor for disability specialists assigned to specific clients, certification of employees’ short-term disability and FMLA leaves based on analysis of medical documentation that supports the amount of time off needed from their normal jobs, and if light duty or reduced work hours are available, help facilitate an employee's return-to-work with his/her physician.

Spectrum Health is a not-for-profit system of care. The Spectrum Health organization includes a medical center, regional community hospitals, a dedicated Children’s hospital, multi-specialty Medical Group, affiliated physicians and a nationally recognized Health Plan. *Managed all aspects of administrative operations, including supervision and management in a large care management department, oversight of daily operations, and use of information systems in areas of responsibility, including new software or system implementation. *Education of staff on computer systems. *Promoted and implemented Lean principles for continuous process improvement. *Implementation of a Case Management Assistant role in the Emergency and Care Management Departments, with expansion to all inpatient units including the DeVos Children’s Hospital. *Development, implementation, and oversight of practices to match patients and families with community services and to find a permanent medical home.
