Managed a sales force consisting of 3 Financial Advisors, an Assistant Manager, a Senior Member Service Advisor who had 4-5 direct reports, total asset base of approx. $56 million and a membership of 2,100. Between service, sales force and Wealth, this team opened personal and business accounts, were experts in retirement and estate planning, Master Cards, mutual funds, mortgages, personal loans and lines of credit and various GIC term deposits.  Hired, trained and mentored 4 leadership roles. Contributed to the success of their direct reports. Established track record to exercise sound judgment, manage and mitigate risk, lead, coach, empower, mentor and motivate teams and individuals.  Met with high net worth customers to introduce the banking services and investment specialists. Instrumental in achieving the profitability goals for the branch, consistently met and exceeded lending goals. Recognized by branch members as providing excellent service.

Nanaimo, Bc

The branch consisted of Branch Manager, 2 Assistant Branch Managers, 3 Lenders, 2 Central Tellers and 6-8 Member Service Representatives in a branch of approx. $223 million AUA and 6 thousand members. Developed a high functioning branch by increasing engagement. Celebrated successes and identified growth and development opportunities.  Coached sales team to develop business and create external contacts. Provided training opportunities and support to increase the branch portfolio. Developed SMART goals for the branch and managed the progress and alignment of goals. Initiated business strategies based on member survey results and corporate direction Conducted annual SWOT Analysis during budgeting process or when necessary.

Bowen Road Branch

 Over a 2-year period, held an interim AVP, Retail Services for the southern branches. During this period, there were 10 branches reporting to me with a combined portfolio of $1.5B. Participated in ALCO committees, reviewed, responded and acquired new revenue streams through RFP’s.  As Branch Manager, joined a team consisting of 18 + staff with assets under administration of $260 million (excluding wealth). Cultivated, maintained and accelerated company brand. Grew and coached direct reports using “observational/metrics/video skill practices” to enhance leaders to increase their portfolio, develop business, increase community involvement and exceed the needs of membership (approx. 8,000). Actively involved with mortgage brokers, realtors, lawyers as well as involved in Toastmasters, BIA's, SPCA, Working Group on Homeless, Director for Nanaimo Financial Schools Awards Societyand Chamber of Commerce Luncheons.
