Manage the department’s strategic development of student performance sport (SPS).Responsible for setting standards that drive continuous improvement while fostering a high performing culture and team environment across SPS programmes. Provide expert advice for devising, implementing and providing operational oversight of SPS as well as Dual Career programme, sports scholarships and partnership with TASS. Lead the development of standards of delivery, targets and priorities for SPS, including recruiting and supporting elite athletes and coaches, building partnerships with professional and community clubs and with National Governing Bodies. Lead and manage our Head Coaches, Performance Support Team and Performance Sport Officer.Sit as part of the Department’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), involved in the strategic development and financial performance of the Department.

Lead in the creation, development and implementation of innovative coach education and CPD development programme that sits within the BTF's wider Coach Development Strategy.Key responsibilities include•Coordinate the design and development of specific Continuing Professional Development (CPD) material, including, but not limited to articles, technical video, workshops and information hosted within Coaches Hub, the official online portal for qualified British triathlon coaches.•Provide technical support to other members of the coaching team on specific projects and programmes•Maintain strong partnerships and liaise closely with key National Governing Bodies, Educational Institutions, sportscoachUK and other agencies to initiate, facilitate and support the various coach development programmes. •Work closely with the E-learning developer and the Home Nation Coaching Leads in the design, development and implementation of specific coach development initiatives. •Provide support for the Home Nation Regional Managers on Coach Education and Development initiatives•Liaise with the Performance Team and others to develop BTF coaching policy and strategy via meetings and working groups

Coach as part of the EMRA team, alongside 5 other coaches. Working with young elite athletes aged 13-18 both as a coach and mentor.

I work in collaboration with the SET team and wider SDC to identify and develop coaching and officiating roles and responsibilities which support core activities both internally and externally. I also coordinate and administer the deployment of student coaches into University sport programmes, targeted schools and other community groups.A major part of my role is to develop, coordinate and deliver Continual Professional Development to student coaches. This involves designing a program of formal and informal sessions to support coaches development, whilst enabling them to develop their craft through reflective practice and self directed learning. I also work closely with senior University management and NGB's to promote and continuously the coach and volunteer academy.
