I am a strategic designer, researcher and educator. My work draws on design practices to understand complex problems and articulate strategic directions. I am currently undertaking a PhD exploring the role of design in strategy (completion 2024).I am passionate about understanding how design practices (ways of working and being) can inspire change and create innovative outcomes. Equally I am motivated by the chance to use my design skills to develop new strategies, approaches and things. I am driven to contribute to the development of knowledge and explain the value of design and creative arts for society, culture and the economy.In my career to date I have integrated work in industry as a practitioner and academia as a researcher and educator. This is because I care about contributing to the development of design-led talent, advancing knowledge about practice, advocating the application of design to unravel complex problems, strategically, within corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors in Australia.I am interested in exploring design, innovation, and research projects for creative communities, the education sector, business, not-for-profits and governments.
