I solve problems. Businesses, scientists, major league sports teams, a half dozen branches of the federal government, and the people who write the code for nuclear reactors, I have worked with them all to improve their organization and help them succeed in their mission. As a meta-theoretical, big picture thinker, I gravitate towards the overarching, structural concerns. But there is still much joy in solving the logic puzzles of even the most low-level coding problems. I have lead teams of programmers, mentored junior developers, and quite comfortably worked long hours on my own. Most recently working with a variety of startups in all levels of their software stack, I've spent well over a decade designing, building, and using Cloud/Grid/Distributed software and APIs. My main body of work is with the JVM, using Java, Groovy, and Clojure, but I'm always happy to learn something new; the more unbelievably futuristic your project, the better.
