In 2007 Luis was offered a life-changing opportunity to join a full-service real estate investment firm with over $20,000,000 in assets as Senior Property Manager, overseeing a team of on-site managers and vendors.“I always used my experience as a multi-family property owner to create new cost-cutting measures while still providing high-level service to retain residents and increase profitability.” When the company transitioned in 2009 to include distressed residential and commercial notes and REO acquisitions, Luis was a natural fit to head their Asset Management Division with an REO portfolio of approximately 250 homes across ten states. “I used my expertise in virtual due diligence to underwrite bulk purchases from major lending institutions and hedge funds, and was able to identify the value of a property solely using the Internet as a source.”In addition to locating potential acquisitions, his ability to quickly search for liens, unpaid back taxes and code violations provided invaluable in the firm avoiding bad purchases that were going to lose money. These note sales included several high-value multi-family properties across South Florida. He also supported in troubleshooting liens through government agencies, clearing title issues, loss mitigating with the owner of the property at the time and preparing financial information for prospective buyers. In 2013 Luis was invited as a guest speaker at weekend seminars in Malibu for individuals interested in real estate investing. He has secured a reputation as an expert in virtual due diligence, underwriting purchases, assembling a team, selling property quickly for the highest possible profit, contract negotiation, sourcing buyers and institutional sellers of distressed homes.

Within a year of becoming licensed he began Inner-City Renewal, a real estate investment company focused on helping clients buy, rehab and resell their own homes. Luis believes owning his company helped him better understand the decision-making processes from both sides of the transaction when selling or buying, regardless of whether a first home or an investment property.Luis’ incredible Internet skill has allowed him to seek out and find information about real estate not always available on the MLS.
