As a native English and Spanish speaker I have personified language acquisition and cultural exchange in the classroom. Teaching in a city as diverse as Orlando, Florida has granted me the chance to teach students from various backgrounds and given me the skills to be a creative, outgoing, and innovative educator.I am in my seventh year of teaching ESL, my experience includes working with local and international students in Orlando on behalf of Bilingual Education Institute, Uceda Language School, working abroad in Mexico as a Cambridge Exam Preparation Language Coach, and in Romania as a Guide at Acton Academy Bucharest.My responsibilities include presenting teacher workshops, involving technology in class activities, hosting Zoom classes, creating and grading exams, advising students, and conducting conversation clubs.Being an educator and self-taught language learner, I have understood that to attain proficiency in a language, it is not enough to learn, but to live language. TPR, Kahoot, Jeopardy, videos, interactive images, and class discussion are among the various tools I use daily to create an engaging, dynamic, and thrilling classroom experience.
