Hello, my name is Luke, and I am a 2023 cum laude graduate from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business with a bachelor's in marketing. I am currently looking for a full-time position in the field of marketing or business that gives me the opportunity to make an impact through my leadership, team collaboration, and critical thinking skills. I am a dedicated person who is passionate about being who I am and being that perfectly well. Being a genuine person is an important value to me and I can promise that you will get the same quality and effort from me, no matter the task at hand.My appreciation for hard work and dedication goes back to my first job as a member of a golf course ground crew. During this time, I developed a burning passion for doing the best job I could do along with a newfound leadership and communication skill set that I used to instill this passion to my co-workers. This allowed our crew to exceed the high expectations required for the LPGA's annual Marathon Classic. My time as a student at Miami University marks the most challenging yet most rewarding period of my life thus far. I was always being put in situations out of my comfort zone, but it was these situations that helped me grow into the person I am today. As a student at the farmer school of business, I learned how to face these uncomfortable situations by gaining experience dealing with them in different contexts. Most recently, my marketing capstone challenged myself and my team to collaborate with and understand people within the LGBTQ+ community so that we could come up with a campaign for Proctor and Gamble's Gillette Venus razor brand. At my most recent position at Tenneco, I was given the opportunity to use the tools I acquired through work and school to make a difference at a large company. My role consisted of supporting the Value Stream Simplification (VSS) process, putting together competitor intelligence reports, comparing customer and 3rd-party data production trends to support the commercial team, and ultimately presenting my findings to the global leadership team. Overall, the experience I've gained through this position has prepared myself to take the next step in my professional life. Outside of school and work, I try my best to enjoy the small things in life. I pride myself on setting a good example and making sure that I am open to what others have to say. I also enjoy learning about new things and aspire to one day make a difference in the world.
