Worked for a design group within Agio designing high-end patio furniture products for commercial sales. Supported design and development of stone and porcelain grouted tabletops sold primarily to Costco and Sam’s Club in the United States. Development duties included sourcing raw materials from international vendors and identifying candidate materials at a variety of Trade Shows and meetings with material manufacturers. The design process entailed identifying and defining international market trends and mapping those trends into a final product while adhering to manufacturing and material cost constraints. Concept illustrations of candidate products were developed with Corel Draw to present designs to the Agio marketing group. Responsibilities also included inspection of incoming product samples and conducting quality control checks of products at various stages in the manufacturing lines
