I assisted 3 Deputy Directors and 1 Director with their portfolios covering many different government departments. I performed diary and inbox management, organisation of meetings within the department, interdepartmentally and with external stakeholders. I managed and keep good relations with major project stakeholders, this includes liaising between multiple departments and arm’s length bodies to ensure programmes are hitting targets and on track. I organised and tracked records of these major projects and create monthly outputs that are used to review the portfolios of the directors that I assist, I fully rearranged how these monthly reports are collected and formatted to be easier to create, understand and then use in following work. Additionally, I chaired large events and meetings for important stakeholders in person and in a hybrid working environment.

I am currently assisting with the rollout of vaccines in the city of Birmingham. I work across multiple mass vaccination centres around Birmingham preforming administrative and organisational help to the rollout process. I work with the public and give them support throughout the process of receiving their vaccinations. My main responsibilities include creating and keeping records of peoples vaccinations and assisting nursing staff in the administration of vaccines, I also assist with the organisation and flow of customers through the vaccine centres.

I was an Assistant Language Teacher in multiple schools in Japan as well as a cultural representative for the U.K. My responsibilities included planning and teaching English lessons between 4 schools with children aged 5-16 years old. I organised cultural experiences and learning opportunities for students to further study foreign cultures. I also helped plan and operate city wide English writing and speaking competitions and helped digitise and standardise the English curriculum. I learned to prioritise different work projects and meet deadlines on time. I was able to work on multiple products concurrently whilst also studying Japanese and learning how to work in a job in which I previously had little experience in. I got experience in organising events over multiple different workplaces and departments as well as co-ordinating events with people in other cities. I learned to live independently in a foreign country, gained the abilities to interact and relate to people and co-workers through cultural and language barriers, whilst also learning to work well as part of a team as there were many things I could not originally do for myself in a foreign country. I learned how to live and work independently and autonomously.

I started work as a leisure assistant and qualified as a lifeguard in July of 2013, then renewed my qualification in July of 2015. My responsibilities included safeguarding and rescuing of swimmers, interaction with customers and crisis response. I learned to act under pressure, lead teams and gained general first aid training. I worked part time whilst studying for my A-Levels and learned to manage my time and balance work and studies.
