Being a student-athlete at the University of Texas at Dallas, I have learned how to lead on campus and on the track. My core values include self-improvement and the ability to learn regardless of your situation. I believe that life is about pursuing the things you love, whether that be vigorous math equations, discovering stars, hitting home runs, or even knitting delicate fabrics, whatever brings you joy and self-fulfillment. With that said, in anything I am passionate about, I will strive a thousand percent to ensure that I can be the greatest in that field.As a cross country and track athlete, I experience discomfort daily. I am used to life knocking me down, but only for me to learn from my own mistakes and failures. I am willing to adapt to any environment regardless of the discomfort and stand firm and ready for any new experiences to challenge me further. Regardless of talent, I highly respect any ability to challenge comfort.Before I arrived at the University of Texas at Dallas, I worked in food service and customer service. I was even a referee for the local soccer league back in Tyler, Texas. Through my experiences, I have learned had to handle interpersonal interactions on a professional level and how to represent a business in its brightest light. I also did theater for six years during my high school experience. Theater taught me how to speak correctly in front of jaw-dropping numbers of people, and I'm only improving that skill through business classes such as Business Communication and Public speaking throughout college.Throughout these next few years in college, I hope to sharpen my skills within a business environment and remain faithful to my core values. Eventually I will strive to earn my masters in Business Administration. Beyond college, I desire to become a salesman while working as a part-time coach for future runners and track athletes.
