Chartered Engineer with over 10 years practical experience in geotechnical consultancy and contaminated land assessment. I have a strong understanding of geotechnical principles and soil structure interaction. My experience includes design and management of site investigations, with an understanding of the project requirements and completion in a safe and effective manner. Providing geotechnical design for shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, and slope stability, basement impact, and ground movement assessments, contaminated land assessment and remediation strategies. I am always seeking to develop my skills and knowledge to aid my personal development and the development of my colleagues.My technical skills include:• Using dynamic site investigation to provide clients with the best possible ground model and assessment for design. • Numerical modelling, slope stability and ground movement assessment, and ground investigation data management. • Interpretation and analysis of CPTu data for the improvement of the ground model compared with traditional methods. • Advancing the methodologies and technical understanding of ground movement assessment, and how the complexities if the natural ground and engineering construction can be appropriately modelled. • Undertaking GQRA and DQRA’s meeting regulatory requirements and considering the complexity of the site, conceptual site model, ground conditions and processes. • Using ground investigation data and available hydrological data to develop ground models and carrying out hydrological and hydrological risk assessments. • Interaction between geology and geotechnical design.
