I hold 25 years of experience in healthcare bringing an abundance of extensive knowledge relating to all that encompasses the care we provide for patients. The majority of my career in healthcare has been as a Medical Assistant however over the years I have been involved in medical billing, coding and navigating the ins and outs of insurance coverage. I found that patients often need an advocate to help them understand not only the clinical side of their care but also how to be sure they were billed correctly or to know what coverage their insurance would provide for imaging, labs or referrals to other providers. I happily helped patients maneuver through this often complicated process to help lessen their fear and frustration they would sometimes feel.As my career has progressed I have come to realize that I always seem to end up finding ways to be involved in the revenue cycle aspect of care. This realization helped me to see that I wanted and needed new challenges. It is my goal to continue to care for patients with a focus now on providing services in medical billing and coding.
