Serving a diverse clientele that included Monsanto, Bayer, Edward Jones, Centene and others, my primary endeavors included working with clients to drive new technologies, architectures and application development. This included large scale data migrations and analytics; implementation of Salesforce, MDM, customer experience, and mobile applications; and vendor management, IT financials and practice area operations.RESULTS: My efforts consistently increased the effectiveness of client platforms and processes, optimizing their business unit efficiency, reducing operating costs and enabling future growth. For example, my high level of technical expertise helped to successfully redesign Monsanto’s struggling Customer 360 platform. Senior EngineerNestlé Purina North America Jul 2014 - Aug 2017St. Louis, Mo, UsRESPONSIBILITIES: Nestle Purina Engineers are tasked with contributing to process improvements, operations strategy and development of the manufacturing software that runs the machines and factories. My major responsibilities included architecting SQL Server solutions for Product Supply and NPE (Nestle Purina Engineering) primarily in the MES landscape; providing direction strategy as Nestle Purina migrated from a DB2 landscape to SQL Server; working directly with local IT for factories across the USA on upgrades to existing systems and implementation of new ones; and other critical engineering projects.RESULTS: Successfully addressed data retention and archival issues across the factory landscape by leading an ODS (Operational Data Store) and data warehousing effort. Created cost efficient user entry forms, web forms and display screens using C#, Angular and HTML5 in Visual Studio when needed for MES applications. The experience gained in this role added immeasurably to my foundation of technical knowledge, which proved invaluable in positions I would hold later in my career. -
Database AdministratorSt. Charles County Government Aug 2012 - Jul 2014St Charles, Missouri, UsRESPONSIBILITIES: St. Charles County is one of the fastest growing counties in Missouri and the state’s third largest in both population and economic share. Some of my functions included capacity planning and managing of all MS SQL Servers for the county; implementing backup policy and strategies; leading the standing up of a secondary data center including configuring and testing database replication and fail-over; and providing 24/7 support for SQL Servers and related business applications.
