As a LETRS professional learning facilitator at Lexia Learning, I provide evidence-based literacy training for teachers. I help teachers implement effective instructional practices to support all students, but especially students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.I also work as an ELA professional learning consultant at Consortium on Reaching Excellence in Education (CORE), where I deliver professional development sessions and on-site coaching for schools and districts. I focus on enhancing teachers' knowledge and skills in the science of reading, structured literacy instruction, and dyslexia awareness and intervention.In addition, I am an adjunct instructor at the University of Florida Dyslexia Certificate Program. I have a graduate certificate in dyslexia from the same program, and a master's degree in speech-language pathology from Florida Atlantic University.My passion is to provide quality, structured literacy instruction for striving readers, especially those with dyslexia, ADHD, and/or executive functioning differences. I have over 30 years of experience in public and private instruction, using research-based programs and methods to help students improve their reading, writing, and spelling skills.I have strong communication, organization, and collaborative problem-solving skills, which enable me to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and learners. I am always eager to learn new strategies and tools to enhance my practice and share my knowledge with others. My goal is to make a positive impact on the literacy outcomes and lives of my students and clients.
