Working under the Linamar corporation, specifically at Hastech Manufacturing with a small group of automation engineers. Overall project goals were to design and build a new production line which would manufacture a series of transmission parts, on a single line. Daily tasks included the design of pick and place, pusher or other part flow systems using mostly Solidworks. Creating 3D models of the production line layout, while accounting for machine and robot workspaces as well as safety regulations.

Worked alongside a Mechanical engineering professor, researching the compressive/tensile behavior of 3D printed octet-truss structures while varying factors such as resin type, truss diameter and unit cell density. Tasked involved consisted of SLA 3D printing, tensile testing, stress-strain curve determination and finite element analysis using Ansys.

Part of a dynamic manufacturing engineering team that worked closely with fabrication, assembly and planning managers to accomplish and implement any design modifications or new manufacturing processes. Analyzed machine components to solve fabrication, fit and weld and assembly issues or complications and took part in weekly meetings to discuss and present new engineering changes.

Involved with many mechanical systems design aspects, including the creation of AutoCAD drawings, load calculations and site surveys. Systems consisted of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and heating/cooling.
