I handled project correspondence with customers, completion and submission of customer net metering contracts with local utility companies, scheduling install dates, drafting of rooftop solar array layout drawings and single line diagrams, replacement and commissioning of power inverters, and site assessments which involved surveying the roof with an aerial drone. Photos taken by the drone were used to produce 3D surface models of the rooftop which provided accurate roof geometry and position of obstacles which informed solar array layouts.

I served primarily as a technical resource for the commercialization branch of the R&D team. This work chiefly involved collecting and processing data from process commissionings, first productions, and product trials; performing lab work for various product developers; organizing and maintained the labs; ensuring measurement tools were clean and maintained; and sourcing lab equipment, and handling purchase orders for various team projects. Some highlights of my work included: development of a statistically significant test to quantify the "oiliness" of various doughs, which allowed for the resolution of a shelf life issue; collecting viscosity data of syrups and non-newtonian slurries, which provided an empirical basis for process parameter settings; and performing a series of comprehensive tests to determine whether density variation of a single ingredient was driving weight spread in final products.

A 16 month co-op placement with at Canopy Growth's Tweed facility. I worked with the Central Engineering department with my placement focused on a number of duties included below.-Equipment selection and vendor contact for equipment including arranging delivery.-Preparing test plans and performing tests for various pieces of equipment including developing novel technologies.-Working with process engineering to implement new product lines generating over $20,000,000 in annual revenue.-Completing documentation regarding equipment validation and proposing amendments to existing procedures-Developing the documentation for new procedures.-Monitoring production data to ensure records are complete.-Supporting operations where necessary by troubleshooting machinery.

Working as a lab assistant at the McMaster Manufacturing Research Institute provided me with the opportunity to enhance my knowledge and experience regarding manufacturing systems and methods, primarily concerning CNC machining. While employed at the MMRI I designed and fabricated apparatuses for use in the research efforts, this involved use of solid modelling, material selection, and careful operation of CNC equipment for fabrication.

For the summer of 2015 I maintained the gardens at a local condominium as a worker for Royal Property Management, a landscaping company based in Belleville. I edged gardens, watered, weeded, and dead headed daily. I also planted new flowers and tended to other small jobs around the buildings. Condominium residents spoke positively of the work.

A co-op placement through East Northumberland Secondary School. I obtained first hand practice interpreting engineering drawings and gained further experience with various tools such as horizontal band saws, hydraulic breaks, and shears. The work primarily involved shop assistance. this included tack welding, layout, rough cutting stock to size for structural projects, lifting stock into position with gantry crane, grinding radii onto lifting lugs, pickling stainless welds, fastener organization, small tool repair, transfer punching and mag-drilling duct flanges.
