I serve two healthcare client organizations and work with the Board of Directors of each organization to define their strategy and create their strategic plan, develop and manage their budget, and plan annual conferences. I lead our internal client teams of 20+ individuals and work cross-functionally with our government relations, sales, marketing, events, tradeshow, finance, and IT departments to run the basic day-to-day operations of our client organizations. In this role, I serve as a strategic thought partner to the Executive Directors of both organizations and directly manage seven people.

I collaborated cross-functionally with four teams to execute live educational events that drove the majority of the organization’s annual revenue. I also leveraged my relationships with key industry experts and volunteers on professional committees to provide top tier education and professional development opportunities to healthcare professionals in the genetic counseling and gastroenterology nursing professions.

I led membership and volunteer engagement initiatives to build community and foster collaboration between leaders of 19 professional committees and 21 special interest groups. I also worked with five professional committees to implement projects in the clients' strategic plans, including overseeing an annual survey distributed to the genetic counseling profession to gather data to support employment negotiations, educational initiatives and advocacy efforts.

I covered briefings and hearings on a diverse array of subject matter, researched legislation, drafted co-sponsorship recommendations, and assisted the Chief of Staff by drafting letters of support on behalf of the Congressman for organizations’ grant applications and proposals.

I worked in the governance department to better align the non-profit's operating policies with industry standards, review and improve internal processes such as the contracts management process and committee operating procedures, and develop relevant education for the annual conference attracting over 1,600 international members.
