As a Senior Licensing Officer my role was to manage the major event and high risk temporary liquor licences across Victoria. This role required significant time management skills, the ability to multitasks, prioritise and forecast workloads and effective communication with stakeholders. Working collaboratively I managed the licensing process with Police, Council, Event Managers and Stall Holders on significant cultural events such as Royal Melbourne Show, Spring Racing Carnival, Grand Prix and White Night to ensure successful and responsibly run events. Key achievement was creating and conducting a two part training course on temporary licences & major event licences. I provided education, guidance and material to co-workers on the applications and legislative requirements. The result of the training was developing co-worker skills and increased efficiency in the time taken to determine application as multiple people were now trained on the process.
