I am a fourth year English major with a minor in Media and Culture. I have recently been accepted into West Chester University's school counseling graduate program and plan on working at a school after I complete my M.Ed.A significant part of my undergrad experience is in research. I have taken many courses and completed one internship where a majority of my coursework was writing research papers, and sharing what I have learned with the class or the company. I have become very skilled in identifying useful and up-to-date academic articles that relate to my identified topics, and most importantly, I have learned a lot on subjects that matter to me. My minor in Media and Culture has been beneficial in exposing me to the world of social media marketing. Multiple courses involved exploring different technologies and creating proposals for real, local organizations that could profit from a change in their marketing techniques. This minor has encouraged me to think creatively and critically, and push for the absolute best outcomes.For job experience, I have worked in customer service for five years, and in a school environment for a few months as a substitute para-educator. These experiences taught and continue to teach me patience, effective communication, organization, and more.
