I serve as the Event Coordinator for the UTC University Center, better known as The UC. The UC is 200,00 square foot central hub of campus that houses professional offices, student & dining services and multi-use event spaces. As the primary contact for University department and external event clients, I handle all event details related to equipment, seating arrangements, technical audio-visual needs, staffing and insurance. In addition to my responsibilities within my department, I serve on search committees for graduate assistants and professional staff members throughout our division. I am also a member of the Student Conduct Board. I directly manage a team of 20-25 student employees alongside another coordinator. My summer 2024 project was developing a comprehensive system for interviewing, hiring, onboarding and evaluating job performance of our student employees.

I work in both backstage and guest facing capacities at the Tivoli Theatre Foundation venues. When providing merchandising support, I organize and arrange inventory, create displays and directly sell to show-goers. I ensure accuracy of cash and credit card sales figures, account for sold inventory and reconcile sales for the evening. It is my goal to provide an excellent experience for the touring party by maintaining an organized booth and staying on task. When providing backstage support as a runner, my duties vary from grocery shopping to suggesting hiking trails and coffee shops to touring acts that are in town for their performance. I practice distraction-free driving, strategize the schedule for the show day with the touring staff, communicate clearly and account for all expenses by providing receipts for any requested purchases. Courtesy, confidentiality and clear communication are essential in these roles.
