Maggie Phillips (she/her) is an educator, artist, performer, and advocate for the transformative impact of the arts in education. She holds a B.A. in dance and chemistry from Middlebury College and is a certified educator in trauma-informed practices through the Stockton Rush Bartol Foundation in Philadelphia. With over a decade of experience as an instructor and coach in academic and artistic spaces, Maggie has presented her research and creative work at conferences and showcases both nationally and internationally.As ArtistYear’s National Program Director, Maggie leads the strategic development and management of the organization’s national programming and training, ensuring the program yields ArtistYear’s vision of positive outcomes for students, schools, and ArtistYear AmeriCorps Resident Teaching Artists across the country. Her leadership is dedicated to shaping bold, reflective, and collaborative leaders in the fields of teaching artistry and education.Maggie’s tenure with ArtistYear began as a Dance Resident Teaching Artist in Philadelphia, where she served for two years before taking on the role of Philadelphia Program Lead. Driven by her passion for creativity and community-centered teaching, her initiative in these roles has strengthened program impact and cultivated a supportive culture among ArtistYear’s network of teaching artists.
