Smart Mechanical Equipment Trading LLC (SMET) is the authorized distributor of GS YUASA, GNB EXIDE and LEOCH brand VRLA batteries in UAE. Played key role in integrating the service vertical in the company. Site inspection for creating a plan for the execution of the new work and or replacement works. Complete replacement, testing and commissioning of energy storage products for UPS, CBS, Solar, FACP, Telecom, Data centers etc. and submission of test reports. Performed quarterly maintenance of the storage system by using conductance method. Conducting annual maintenance test using load testing and submitting the reports and suggestions. Submitting technical data based on IEEE 485, 1184 standards. Created autonomy calculator using excel for non-specified batteries. Working closely with consultants and contractors for getting the product specified in projects. Creating quotes based on the RFP/ RFQ. Follow up on quotes, negotiate prices and close sales. Persuade customers to expand purchases with cross selling. Met customers' needs with personalized support and customized solutions. Served as a battery consultant for contractors, especially EPC contractors. Involved in proposing new CSR policies. Prepare sales forecast. Achieving YoY sales target. Maintained expert knowledge of company and competitor offerings, market trends and customer preferences. Engaged closely with management to make pricing strategies. Monitoring the inventory of the products and ensure the product availability based on the sales forecast by placing orders with the manufacturers. Train new employees. Keep track of the missed opportunities, analyze it and work towards improvement. Addressing warranty claims and approving legitimate claims. Coordinating with the manufacturers and participate in the trade show (MEE).
