• Assisting novel research utilizing Doppler ultrasound to examine sympathetic neural control of renal blood flow during exercise in young healthy African American adults compared to young healthy White adults. Aims to address gap in literature and provide insight into physiological factors underlying greater prevalence of hypertension in African Americans.• Designed and implemented experimental protocols using semi-supine cycling exercise at light-to-moderate intensity. Collecting novel data on renal vasoconstrictor responses during acute exercise in both racial groups.• Research investigates if healthy young African American adults exhibit exaggerated renal vasoconstriction during exercise compared to healthy young White adults, which may have implications for therapeutic strategies to improve cardiovascular health and address health disparities.• Data analysis in progress examining changes in renal blood flow velocity, renal vascular resistance, blood pressure, and heart rate.
