Built Sendy, a logistics and fulfillment tech platform for FMCGs and e-commerce in Africa. From concept to fruition, I took the lead in making it a thriving business, generating over $100M in annual GMV. My duties involved expanding the team to include over 350 full-time employees and setting up operations in five countries across East and West Africa. I played a key role in scaling operations, catering to more than 100K transacting Merchants and involving over 10K 3PLs daily on the platform. Additionally, I established 15 fulfillment centers, facilitating the movement of goods valued at over $1.5B. - Secured over $40M in funding and achieved a market valuation cap exceeding $150M by 2022. - Built and led strategic teams in Marketing, Sales, HR, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Internal Audit, M&A, and Fundraising. - Successfully concluded five investment rounds (Angel, Seed, Series A, Series B, Pre-Series C) from a diverse pool of 45 investors hailing from the USA, France, Netherlands, Kenya, Nigeria, Japan, and Australia. - Spearheaded the corporate strategy for business expansion, facilitating entry into ten new products and seven cities. - Oversaw M&A activities for expansion, including investments into Kamtar (Ivory Coast logistics) and OnePipe (Nigeria fintech). - Held positions as a Board Director at Sendy (since 2016, chairing two committees) and Kamtar. - Secured Sendy's recognition as one of the 'Top 50 Largest Tech Startups' in Africa in 2022.

The portfolio collectively secured $8.5 million in funding and generated over 140 employment opportunities, with estimated assets exceeding $50 million. - Established a reputation as an innovation expert within the developing world, receiving invitations to judge international startup competitions such as Seed Stars Worldwide and Mobile World Congress. - Orchestrated annual events featuring corporate venture capitalists and entrepreneurs; the VC Course, conducted in collaboration with the University of Cape Town, graduated 30 students, while AfriKoin attracted over 100 in-person attendees and 800 virtual participants.
