I operated in a multi-disciplinary technical role within the company. Highlights include:Successfully provided technical consultancy to major companies, including BT/DWP and Belgacom. This type of work encompassed configuring infrastructure, including server hardware/software and networking, the implementation of tools e.g. an ESB platform including a relational database layer and implementing various SOA services and SLA monitoring tools. Architected the design, integration and implementation of a new cloud based portal and trading system for Flextronics, managing ordering, shipment details and invoicing for over 3000 suppliers worldwide. Acted in a Design Authority role throughout the project lifecycle.As the Service Transition manager ensured all deliverable project artefacts were of quality to enable effective support. Managed the 1st line Helpdesk, handling calls 24x7 from customers worldwide, meeting all SLA’s. Successfully mentored and developed staff.Researched and developed capabilities using open-source Apache middleware products including ActiveMQ, Camel and ServiceMix, Developed training materials for other staff and customers on these topics and Adaptris’ technologies.
